Want to reclaim TIME and PRESENCE from unintentional tech use?

As seen in

Do you feel like your tech use has started to get a little out of control?

Hello there and thanks for your interest in the Mindful Technology Management Free E-course!

My name is Nicole Avery and I am:

  • A mum to five gorgeous kids
  • Founder of the popular parenting blog Planning With Kids
  • Creator of the Planned & Present E-course
  • Host of the This Family Life podcast

I have been working online for over 10 years now and have been lucky enough to create a small business, working online from the new opportunities that tech and the internet age have heralded in.

I love tech and in so many ways tech and the devices I use have made my life so much easier for me in my work life, for how I organise and communicate with the family and friends and for personal organisation.

But I have found that there is definitely a tipping point with technology. There is a point from where it moves from making our lives better to having a detrimental impact on our life and possibly of those around us.

The digital world is pervasive. It can start to dominate our lives unless we take a more mindful approach to how we use tech in our daily life.

The Mindful Technology Management Free E-course is designed to help parents reclaim both time and presence by creating a habit of intentional technology use.

We need to use our phones, our computers and other devices to make family life work smoothly and make organisation easier. However, we also need to avoid the traps of being so constantly connected – the rabbit holes of Youtube, the mindless scrolling of Instagram and Facebook and the compulsive checking of emails that eat away at our time and take us away from being present with our families.

The course will help you set up tech habits that enhance not detract from daily family life. It is not about demonising being online or using social media networks, but it is about making sure we are spending our time online purposefully and in a way that aligns with the example we want to set for our kids.

I know personally how easy it is to become a little to attached to our phones, as this is what happened to me a few years ago. But I also know how much better it feels to be in control and more mindful of how I use my phone.

Since making changes to my tech habits and taking a more mindful approach I am:

  • happier
  • more productive
  • less stressed
  • and most importantly more present with my family

In fact, the impact these changes had on my life were so significant that I decided to create this free e-course.

I want to share what I have learned and I want you to experience the positive changes that occur from taking a more mindful approach to your tech.

It is only a short course, consisting of:

  • 3 video lessons (in total they are less than an hour)
  • A short workbook with nine questions for you to answer and action
  • A short series of emails to accompany and guide you through the course

You can sign up below for free and start at any time and take the course at your own pace.
